HVAC Controls Max Temp setting

Post by ddimit »

I notice that the Max temp setting for HVAC on the web page is 86 degrees. My house is in the desert and is usally empty during summer months and I keep AC set at 90-95. I do this either via the EMS thermostat or via Escort dial in. Is it a limitation of the webpage that only allows Max Temp of 86?

Thanks

I Should have put this in the main post as well. I see there is no way to change the mode. It displays what mode it is set but no button to change. is the a programming limitation of the module?

Sorry for the delay on this, I had to ask around. The upper limit for AC is limited on the webpage to 30 degrees celcius (86 F). The best answer I can find for why is the developers thought if they made it anything higher, well, you might as well turn it off (or move somewhere cooler).

I will put a feature request into the portal developers to put this up to 35 (95 F). Or you could move.

thanks for looking at it. I had just assumed it would have had same functionalty of the escort. I can see the normal reasons for the upper limit for occupied places probably more ciritical for lower limits for freeze protection.

thanks!

Hi Grandwizard! thanks for the changes. Just noticed.

Is it possible to create a button for the modes? heat/cool/auto?
I see the button for day/night Don't know how many use that feaure or not?

How many on here have an EMS thermostat and use the web page for functionality?

Hi, the heat/cool/auto/off is already in the feature "to-do" list.

I would think that most people use the occupancy modes (day/night/morning/aux). It is probably the best feature of the EMS-100.

How many people have an EMS-100? Based on tech support issues, I wouldn't say very many at all.
