Away arming?
I have 2 partitions enabled. I use several users and restrict access to the 2nd partition. Problem is when I arm through the mobile portal, I can't use the "arm without code" option as a result of the permissions I have assigned. When I arm partition 1 using PIN's, it arms in "stay mode". I need to be able to arm in away mode and stay mode when I am outside of the premises, which I can't seem to do, since there are delay zones on 2 or 3 of the entry /exit zones. I seem to remember being able to arm using PIN's on partition 1 where it would arm in away mode - and also was able to arm in "stay mode" using *9, but am no longer able to do this now. It will only arm through the Envisalink in "stay mode" on that partition. I don't think, but am not 100% sure that I have recently changed anything in system programming.
Also, I don't have a "send sequence" command in the mobile portal (I do in the regular web UI), and seem to remember that it was there once before. I have sent new links to the mobile device, but nothing changed and I still don't see a "send sequence" command.

Re: Away arming?
The command for custom sequence is still on the mobile portal. Its under commands, then scroll down past zone bypassing.
Re: Away arming?
Nope - this is all I see -
I have in this order:
Send Command
PIN - Arm/Disarm
Arm without code - arm away
Arm without code - arm stay
Pin - *9 arm
PGM - Toggle PGM
Zone - Bypass
# Send reset
Under that, recent events...and Environmental and finally Cameras. That's all I have - using the older portal on my BlackBerry Bold 9900

Re: Away arming?
Nothing? Anyone? This is a pretty serious issue. Anyone having the "use codes" option (for RF devices) enabled will experience the same thing. It means I can't do an "away arm" on my 1st partition with the mobile portal, because the 2DS doesn't have that option within the page. We only have the "arm without code option". The only way I can do it is by accessing the device through the local IP, which has no options, but will only do an "AWAY ARM". I would think if the local web page can do it, the mobile portal should be able to as well.
Currently I log into the local page to ARM my partitions while outside my home, so I can AWAY ARM the 1st partition. While I'm home, if I want to stay-arm, I can only use the mobile portal. Seems somewhat clunky to me.

Re: Away arming?
Its on the new mobile portal only. I don't think the old one is being maintained anymore but I'll let EyezonRich chime in on that.
As to your original question about Away arming, you cannot away arm a partition with a user code without breaching an exit zone. This is DSC, not us.

Re: Away arming?
Apparently I can, using the local web page. It works perfectly and gives me an away arm. That is the only option on that page. I can also do it using the away arm feature on my keypad and my remote. I think what you're referring to is the "quick exit" or "quick arm: feature, but using your local page, I do it every day. It's just that I have to use that page when I'm away and the mobile portal when I'm home (to get stay arm). So, it is possible within your product to do it. It's just not set up on your pages.

Re: Away arming?
There is obsolutely no difference between the local webpage "arm" feature and the mobile "arm with code". It just emulates pressing the 4-6 digits on a keypad, nothing more.
Re: Away arming?
When I arm with code from the mobile portal, it does a "stay-arm" on partition 1.
When I arm from the local web page, it does an "away-arm" on partition 1.
There are no options on either page - so I can't change anything. It just works the way I described above, for me. I don't know about other 2DS users, I only know what transpires here. Again, this is on the old mobile portal. Our BlackBerry Bold 9900's don't work well with the new style portal.
If it will help - I can post pictures of the system status when I arm from the mobile portal (new or old) and when I arm from the local page. I can only tell you what I am seeing here. It is exactly as I have described above, I promise you!

Re: Away arming?
Just to butress Mr. GW's comment, the low-level software routine to arm-with-code is called for both the local webpage and when issued from the portal. I wrote the code.
Maybe there's an issue in presenting the true state of the system from the local webpage. That's possible, because I wrote that too
Does your event log say that there was an Away Arm event when you use the local page? If you want you can PM me with the log snippets.

Re: Away arming?
Yes it does and it actually IS an away-arm too. I have tested it. Now I just did it again and it is arming in stay mode from the local web page. I need to investigate. I know I have armed it many times from the local web page in away mode. In any case, it doesn't help me. I am able to arm by keypad and remote in stay or away mode if a choose, without using an exit delay zone. Wondering why we can't have that option on the 2DS? I guess I'm asking if we could have an "away arm" with code. That would solve the issue.
