Assign an English name to a zone?

Post by Cliff »

Hi gang,

I've just set up the Envisalink 3 on my DSC power 1832 panel. Very slick - I'm impressed. I'm still learning my way around the interface, so please excuse me if this is obvious - I just haven't discovered how to do it:

Is there a way to assign an English (or French) name to each zone?

It would be much nicer if I did not have to tote a chart that says "Zone 7 is the Upstairs Bedroom" (or, should I say, "l'étage Chambre")

Many thanks!

Look at the top right of the system, there is something called MANAGE DEVICE.

Then pick MANAGE ZONE LABEL. You can change the zone labels from there. Also if you update zone labels, you have to click update on each line zone change otherwise you will have to re-enter the zone labels again.

That works when you log in to your account at the Eyez-on website. I would like to be able to determine the zone names when I log directly onto the device via its IP local address.

That's not possible due to technical limitations within the Envisalink.
