invalid contact when trying to verify email

My SMS works fine, but when I click the link to add my email address, I get an 'invalid' message. Any ideas why?

Can you give more information? What device, what does the link look like etc.

If you are using MS Exchange to view email from a POP account you will not be able to verify your email. You'll have to verify your email from your native email browser. For example: If you use MS Exchange to view your Gmail, you will have to go directly to your actual web account to verify email.
