Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
Last night, I plugged the 2DS directly into my cable modem, taking down everything else on the network.
No improvement, but a change. Instead of a series of Network faults and restores at a frequency of approx. 2 hours that I have been experiencing, it was one, long network fault that lasted from 8:30pm when I plugged the 2DS into the modem until 6:30am when I plugged the 2DS back into the router after connecting the router to the modem

Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
Some cable providers only let you have one MAC address (e.g., one network device like a router or in this case, your 2DS) assigned to your cable modem at any given time. It's possible that your 2DS was not authorized to talk to your cable modem since it had a different MAC address.eme jota ce wrote:Last night, I plugged the 2DS directly into my cable modem, taking down everything else on the network.

Most cable modems forget the cached MAC address if you power it off, disconnect your router, then power it on again... w/the 2DS attached (but you'll need to repeat the same in the reverse order to be able to reconnect the router)

Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
I purchased and installed my EnvisaLink 3 about 4 weeks ago. It was working fine and I could toggle arm / disarm from an intranet PC, my droid phone and by internet. About 2 weeks ago I started getting the Network Supervision Fault / Restore messages. I started reading these other posts by others having this issue.
I'm not a networking guru, but I would be happy to provide any information I can that could help resolve this issue. I'm getting annoyed at how my command queue gets backed up and how I can't easily arm / disarm remotely, including from the eyez-on.com website. I mean that's the whole reason I purchased the EnvisaLink.
I am seeing the messages as often as every 20 minutes.

Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
It sounds like you have a real network problem, you should email your details to esupport@eyezon.com and we can take a look at your situation.
By the way, it looks like the bogus network supervision messages that started last week have been tamed. They were related to how load-balancing servers were handing off, not real network outages.

Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
I'd be happy to send any details. What details can I provide? Is there a link where I can find a list of the details needed for troubleshooting or are you speaking from a more general sense, like what devices I have on my network?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
I received an email from support a couple days ago saying that they were working on the Network Fault / Supervision problem since they did a Server Split last Wednesday.
Grand Wizzard, can you indicate it that has been resolved?
I'm still seeing the same Fault / Restore problems on my system.
Thanks,
mjc

Just your MAC address and maybe your EyezOn user name.eammendola wrote:I'd be happy to send any details. What details can I provide? Yes, this was resolved earlier this week. For three days it seems everyone got a Network Superversion around 8AM (GMT).eme jota ce wrote:I received an email from support a couple days ago saying that they were working on the Network Fault / Supervision problem since they did a Server Split last Wednesday.

If you're still having problems then it is not related to this.
Re: Network Supervision Fault & Network Supervision Restore
...I haven't had any further network supervision/faults (fingers crossed) so could have been related to the load balancer issues...hard to know for sure especially since I now have nothing to pcap

GrandWizard, I did not see this message from you until today. I'll send an email shortly. Thanks.
