EnvisaLink 3 (Presale)

Post by Speed99 »

I currently have a PC1832 with a T-Link 250 connected.
Both are functioning fine and I self monitor, but I am purchasing the new EnvisaLink 3 for app control and better control (monitoring) of my alarm.
I have read both will work together.
The T-Link 250 has a 4 cable and power connected to the PC1832.
Does the EnvisaLink 3 require the 4 cable to communicate with the PC 1832?
Do they offer a splitter for this cable, so both work to communicate with the PC 1832?
red blk yel grn do these connect directly to the corresponding colors to the PC1832?
Or what would you do so both communicate flawlessly?
I am looking to have both work and a plan before I tackle this project.
Does anyone have a diagram or program codes before I purchase the EnvisaLink 3 for my PC 1832?
I know how to install and program the unit, but when you adjust these settings every two years, I just need more info.

Thanks

The Envisalink connects to the panel's "keybus" which is a parallel connection that all of the keypads and expansion modules connect to. You wire the Envisalink just as if you were wiring a keypad.

You do not need to use the 4-wire direct connection to the panel that the TL-250 uses.

Here's a link to the installation manual.
