Can you point me to where I said this was a firmware update? Maybe I'd been at the pub.

So back to your response, previously on your advise I recommended to buy the 2DS to other but I gather I would now advise others to wait until you can provide the 3DS and it is really disapointing as I suspect additional features my not be supported by the 2DS due to physical limitations...

Come on, nowhere in that thread did I say the Envisalink 3 was a just a firmware upgrade of a 2DS.

If you are referring to DLS, that is not dependent on hardware. The same hardware is on the '2DS.

The Envisalink 3s started shipping last week to supply all back-ordered '2DS that arose due to the product switch-over.

Simple questions requires a simple answers.

As this has been asked numerous times and as it been stated to be in the pipeline since last year, will the 2DS support the two functions below or will as already previously stated the physical limitation of its flash not support it or we required to upgrade to enable these capabilities.

1) Enable DLS over the Envisalink.
2) Allow the Envisalink to receive global label broadcasts from the keybus.

What is the roadmap for the current DSC owners or is the focus now directed for other systems enablement and we should not expect these features for DSC systems? I would like to advise whether or not if they require they will still require a t-link product at least until it is supported and at least they can make a judgement whether to invest in this product if they have to maintain a second interface.

Got mine today and installed it and setup was a breeze. It works very well. I am very happy with it.

so, did your 3D work with your DSC? Do you need to use your IT- products to communicate? What about communicating with a Vera 2 or 3? Does that work with the 3D?

Yes, the 3D work with DSC, Vera and you do not need the IT products. Head over http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/board,44.0.html and you'll find the answers to setting up either the 2ds, 3D or it100 with your Vera.
