Not getting Text Alerts
I'm getting an email alert on my android and pc but no text alert. I'm using the DSC P1616 and Envisalink 3. I can arm and monitor the system by phone or pc via the EYEZ-ON site. I get the verify text pin and repsond to that and follow the procedure to setup and define what is alerted by text to my phone. My carrier is US Cellular. Not sure what else to try, is the problem with EYEZ-ON or US Cellular?
Re: Not getting Text Alerts
Have you tried sending an email to your email-to-sms gateway (as listed on the portal). Usually along the lines of phonenumber@cellularprovider.com to see if you can get those messages.
Re: Not getting Text Alerts
Yes I can send an email to text conversion to my android using the format "~"@email.ussc.net Eyezon says the problem is not theirs. US Cellular says the problem is not theirs. However I supposedly have a case open with US Cellular to investigate the alert phone logs to US Cellular's servers emailed to me from Eyezon, but it's been 5 days and I haven't heard anything... that's why I say supposedly, very frustrating. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue with their cell provider?

Re: Not getting Text Alerts
AT&T blocked huge swaths of our customers last summer due to what they called "abuse" of their service. We had to implement some draconian measures at that time to get back into their good books and (touch wood) that seems to have held.
I personally had my online trading account alerts (no, I didn't make any money) blocked by my carrier. They didn't like the frequency of them when the markets were crashing.
At the end of the day you're at the mercy of your carrier. You indirectly pay for the email-to-sms service so you do have a right to complain.
I believe some of our customers are using third-party services but I know nothing of these. Maybe someone can chime in here was their experiences?

Re: Not getting Text Alerts
Currently the best I can do is use email messages to monitor my system. The shortest frequency my phone will sync. is 5 minutes. So depending where I am in that 5 minute window determines how close to real time an email alert arrives on my phone. And my android alert tone doesn't have the near as long of a duration as the text message alert tone so in a noisy environment it would be esay to miss an alert.
