Hi,
I'm new to alarm system. I just purchased the EnvisaLink 3 and it doesn't come with the wires. Will this work?
4-Conductor Phone Cable (24 gauge)

Also, I have an older keypad. Do I need to upgrade to an Alpha keypad to do the programming?
Thanks in advance,

Yes phone wire should work just fine. Try and get solid core, however, stranded would work too, but it is more difficult to handle and more brittle.
With DSC you do not need an alpha keypad to program and there is no programming. I believe you must program a few things on honeywell to make it work, but I doubt you need any special keypad.

Re: Noob Questions about EnvisaLink
The alarm system manuals generally suggest 18 to 22 AWG, solid core. I have found that 22 AWG works better because it's more "flexible" and thus easier to work with. If your Envisalink is close to the alarm panel, wire gauge really doesn't matter so much.
Your local home improvement stores probably have "wire by the foot". I paid 33 cents per foot for four-conductor 22 AWG. Now that's what I call affordable.

Is there an app for iphone besides the mobile link?
Also what does the Geofences and assign security system to location do?
Thanks in advance,
