Beta Testers for EV3/DSC Alarm Monitor - Windows
I have just completed a Windows application that monitors DSC systems with an Envisa|ink EV3 (probably EV2 as well).
If anyone (first 10) is interested in a free Beta copy please let me know by PM. I'll need you email address so I can send you a copy.
The application consists of 2 parts, the Server that (optimally) sits on the same network as the alarm and a Monitor Windows application that sits on a local or remote computer. There is an encrypted connection between the Server and the Monitor. Note that the application is best suited to a situation where the Server is on an "always on" computer. Multiple Monitors can access the same server simultaneously. The alarm can be armed/disarmed via the Monitor. If the Monitor is minimized it sits hidden waiting for an interesting event.
I think that this would be an ideal program for people who want to monitor their home alarm system from work or their business alarm system from home.

Were you able to connect to the EV3 with your application while it is enrolled with EyezOn?

I would like to receive a copy of your program.
I want to do something similar with delphi using indy. Can you tell me what port should I assign to my server to receive messages envisalink3.
also an example of the commands that I send to port 4025.
thanks in advance for the help you can give me.
note:
in what language your program is made

This is really a very interesting application. How is the beta test going on? Can the application be used to monitor Honeywell Vista system?
I am also interested in how to intercept the messages from EVL-3.

There's no interception, they are using the open TPI. Anyone can use it.billyrusa wrote:This is really a very interesting application. How is the beta test going on? Can the application be used to monitor Honeywell Vista system?

The open TPI is a pull operation that reads EVL-3 status. What I meant is how to intercept the alert messages, a push operation. When alarm set off, EVL-3 will send reports out. Is there any way the local app can catch the reports?GrandWizard wrote: There's no interception, they are using the open TPI. Anyone can use it.

No, the TPI is a full two-way interface. It provides events in real-time without polling.
You get the same events from the TPI as what you see in the portal.

I may be too late, but I'm interested in the beta as well.
