EnvisaLink 3 not working with older 20P panel
I have triple checked all programing and wiring. The EnvisaLink board does appear to communicate with the 20P but the only thing that works is the report when the panel is armed and disarmed from the keypad. The rest is completely nonfunctional. When I send commands from the either the web site or directly from the board, it acts like it is going to do something but then nothing happens and it doesn't even report that the command failed. I don't get any email messages sent out for any events and the zones status changes are not reliable. Could all this problems be because the panel is an older version or is the new EnvisaLink board just bad?
Re: EnvisaLink 3 not working with older 20P panel
Please be more specific then "i triple checked programming". Give us a detailed step by step what you did in programming. What fields you changed and if you went to the envisalink local web and put in correct keypad address. And give us the status of the lights aka. Color and flashing or solid.also put in a support ticket on the main web page after you sign in as they will be able to view any errors from there end as well.wizard might know something about whether older versions of the v20p panel works with envisalink, but i am leaning towards that they do because if they did not it would specify. What is the version number on your panel?
Hope you are able to work through this!

When logged into the EYEZ-ON Portal, under Manage Contacts, Assign Devices, Modify; make sure all the appropriate boxes are checked for the Text and/or Email Alerts.
Re: EnvisaLink 3 not working with older 20P panel
My 20P is version 3.0. The Link LED and Key B LED are solid. The ACT LED is mostly solid with short intermittent blinks. The OPER LED is slowly blinking.
On the ENVISLINK page I have Partition 1 keypad = 23. Partition 2 = 0 (I only use one partition)
Even though I have 40 zones, this page only shows 32 zones while the online webpage shows all 40 zones and does have some activity of zones being closed. I have verified my cell phone number and email, but have never gotten a message sent to either. The system is being by alarm relay through a POTS line.
On the 20P when I enter #196 I get !,0
#29 1
#48 7,7
#49 5
#50 5
#54 0
#55 1
All 40 zones have an alarm report code 1. I have used this system for many years with a POTS line and have tested it many times using various zones and it has always worked. I haven't changed any of the zones since I added the EnvisaLink 3 board.

Re: EnvisaLink 3 not working with older 20P panel
The lights suggest normal operation on EVL's side
*50 should be 0 <--this is possibly the reason your door openings are delayed
*59-*75 anything that has 0's in it is not going to send report codes to envisalink aka for example *59 is set at zero therefore your panel will not send out any reports on exit error's. *65 is your opening reports and that is also set to 0.
To turn all reports on please go to *59 and keep pushing 1 until you reach *75.
Try setting *196 to 1,0 again and see if you can verify with #196 if not try using address 22 thats not a normal output for "#196 to be !,0"
To sum everything up it appears the problems are on your side, If you need any more help just let me know, I try to respond as quick as possible! Good luck.

You should follow the programing guide shown in the link below:

Thanks for the help Steve. The *50 was a typo. It never was a 5. I tried reentering the *196, but it didn't help so I went to using address 22 and set *196 to 0 0 and *195 to 1 0. That did the trick and all the other issues seem to be fixed as well. I don't think I want to change any of the *59 to *75 because I'm still using the alarm relay service via my telephone line and I think that will cause them to get a bunch of reports that they don't want to see. Am I correct about that? The zone followers is what I was mostly interested in to allow me to get SMS of zone open/close without bothering the alarm relay people. This is very cool. The only thing I think I still need to figure out is a command called custom. Do you have any clue?

Re: EnvisaLink 3 not working with older 20P panel
I am glad you are up and running now! As far as Alarm relay getting too many reports...I do not use them but you can refer to this post --> http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopi ... 87fa90736c. It appears the only thing they have given people a hard time about is opening and closing reports. (*65 and *66)
The custom command I have never used but I always assumed (we all know what assuming does) that whatever you typed into the custom field was as if you were at the panel. If you would like this confirmed I would PM GrandWizard.
