Wait. Either post, or email to support, some pictures of your panel, and the keypad after you hit *29 in programming.
There's got to be something very simple here that we're all missing.
I would also post your question on an Ademco forum like Home Security Store's DIY forum, they might have more answers for you.

I am still working on a solution. Is there any possible way you have a IP or GSM device other then the EVL3? Did you install this alarm system? as it may not be next to the panel.

Re: *29 long range radio programing problem
Just to give you an update I found a updated programming manual, and *29 has been changed from a data entry to a menu entry that is why you can not view it using #, giving it the ability to act as a remote 7720p programming device. Try programming it like this... *29 1,*,* <-(note 2 stars) and then set off your alarm and let me know if it shows up on eyez-on event log that the alarm went off. The only thing that it does not specify is if it is a menu entry only when there is a compatible GSM device installed or if it always acts as a menu entry.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS!!
Thanks,
Steve

Re: *29 long range radio programing problem
Hi!
When I do 1,*,* I have a screen that says "enter * or #"
I tried to set off the alarm: no alert. The only one sent is when I cancel the alarm. It says opening code by user code 2.
Didn't work...

Sorry,
It might be something eyez-on will have to change in there firmware. I sent GrandWizard the information they need to come up with a solution. It appears this is going to effect any Vista 15p or Vista 20p panel with a prom revision greater then 8.1
