We recently purchased a home that came with a DSC PC2500 panel and a couple of PC2500RK keypads along with motion sensors and glass break detectors. We barely use a landline phone, so didn't bother connecting up a POTS and instead use a VOIP service. When we considered hooking up to a alarm monitoring service, we found some will support VoIP, but you need to use their supplied ATA. Since then I've learned about about EnvisaLink which seems to be a much more elegant solution.
A couple of questions... I assume the DSC PC2500 isn't supported? I have no idea how old it is since it was already installed in the property.
Assuming it's not supported by EnvisaLink, can you recommend a new panel to replace it with? Do the keypads also need to be replaced, or would they likely be compatible?
Thanks for your help!

Re: DSC 2500
Hi, yes that panel would be on the older side of ancient.
You can salvage all of your sensors but you will need to replace your keypads and panel.
I would recommend a DSC 1832 panel.
Take a look at our good friends at the Home Security Store. They offer inexpensive "KIT32" options or you can order a la carte. http://www.homesecuritystore.com/

Thanks, I suspected as much! I'm in Canada, would you still recommend Home Security Store?
