i just disarmed my system remotely to allow plumbers to come in and do some work, which worked fine...however i noticed that the time alerts are off by an hour. i'm in PA (eastern time) and the system is in CA (pacific)...my account says that my time zone is EDT -400, which is correct for when i set the system up (actually would have been pacific daylight since i was obviously in CA when i set up the system)...but it didn't update now to standard time.
what should the correct setting be - the time zone the system is in, or the time zone i'm currently in? and, is there a reason why it didn't auto-switch to standard time?
time zone not correct?

The Envisalink records events in UTC (GMT) internally, like all servers do.
When you get a text notification the alerting engine will convert this to the timezone you selected in your Eyezon portal account options as the Envisalink has no idea of where it is located.
So if you selected EST as your timezone, and the Envisalink is in California, an event saying alarm at 12:00 EST means the event happened at noon EST, which is 9AM PST.
The eyezon portal automatically switched back North American customers from DST to Standard time last week so if you had selected EDT as your timezone last week, then it would have changed over. If you entered EDT as your timezone after this, then no, it wouldn't automatically change.

Re: time zone not correct?
OK that explains why my alerts are an hour ahead now, since it's set for EDT and it's now EST...but it didn't switch me over automatically (or something strange happened somewhere that switched me back). I set everything up while I was still in CA with the system, which was when daylight time was still in effect, and haven't changed it since then (until now, when I'll update it to EST).
When I get back home to CA, I can just change it to PST at that point and the alerts will automatically change along with it...right?
BTW, the alerts have been fine all along...this is the time code in the status and events that are off. For example, I disarmed at 11:15 this morning, eastern time (8:15am pacific time). I received the e-mail alert just fine, at 11:15...but when I looked at the disarm in my account, it's coded at 12:15pm.
edit: on another note, the main eyez-on account page doesn't work in Chrome or Safari on OSX Mavericks...which is really annoying since I had to install Firefox to be able to view anything. When I click on my system after logging in, it just displays a white screen. Firefox works fine, but I use Chrome as my default browser.
I can upload a screenshot if it will help...
