Hi, I am very new to this.
I need an a alarm that has the potential to integrate with an existing home automation system but that isn't the central control (I am using Revolv, may change to micasa verde later).
It seems that DSC combined with the Envisalink is the best option due to the open interface.
1) does this seem a sensible approach?
2) what apps are there? I don't see any in the iPhone store / windows phone / windows phone 8 stores
3) does this replace the T150 module DSC sells or should I have that too?
4) if I buy this can it co-exist with the other DSC communications internet modules
5) should I get a professional to install the powerline DSC alarm or do it myself? I can replace light switches, drill holes but I have no idea to fish and run cables in the wall.
any other pointers would be gratefully received - thanks!
I am thinking of buying a DSC just to use Envisalink..

You can get central monitoring with the Envisalink just like you can with the TL-150.scyto wrote:3) does this replace the T150 module DSC sells or should I have that too?
Sure it connects to your keybus like any other device.scyto wrote:4) if I buy this can it co-exist with the other DSC communications internet modules
That is up to you, but you certainly can get all wireless sensors. Personally I like hardwired myself and some will say it adds value since you can upgrade the main control panel some day later on and all your door and window contacts will still work. If you go wireless then upgrading the panel at a later date may mean you must also upgrade all your sensors.scyto wrote:5) should I get a professional to install the powerline DSC alarm or do it myself?
