more specifically it looks like when a user disarm the system with a keyfob the TPI correctly sends a "User Opening" message, but when a user arm the system with the same keyfob, the TPI doesn't send any "User Closing" message.

Is this a bug?

Hi Guys,

No this is not a bug: the WLS Keyfob reporting feature will only report correctly when the wireless fob is assigned to a user code:

Keyfob 1 assigns to user code 17
Keyfob 2 assigns to user code 18 .etc

A code must be programmed into the *5 user code number for the reporting to work before the ESN serial codes are entered onto the RF5132 in LOC 804

so *5 {Master] 17 {anycode] 18 [anycode] ## etc also location 17 has an additional feature for this to work
Hope this helps

Looks like the keyfob is correctly setup because when it is used to disarm the system, it report a "User Opening" message with a correct user id.
But when it is used to arm the sytem, there is no "User Closing" message.

Why arming and disarming would work differently?

Arming from the keyfob does not entail entering of an actual code but a its similar to the function key on the keypad. so on certain versions this is how it worked .... see attached

running 1832 with current version... info does go down serial stream, just not IP

It looks to me like I should receive

KeyFob 1 = 700-10017 for closing
750-10017 for opening

KeyFob 2 = 700-10018 for closing
750-10018 for opening

or as seen above, the panel translates 17 to 1, 18 to 2, etc

using the new Dual direction fobs/ w new receiver

Did you receive a closing event on Envisalerts? If not, then the event wouldn't be reported on the TPI either.
