Here lately, I have been receiving alerts from my Envisalink as such:
2014-02-21 11:55:07 - Fire Trouble Restoral- Partition 1
2014-02-21 11:55:06 - Fire Trouble Alarm- Partition 1
2014-02-21 11:55:06 - Zone 8 Trouble Restore- Partition 1
2014-02-21 11:55:05 - Zone 8 Trouble - Partition 1
It was few and far between but now I have gotten 10 today alone. This does not set off an alarm but it is worrying me. I am wondering if this is in the Envisalink or my DSC Power 832 alarm.
Is there some way to fix this issue or is this something that I should call a technician out to diagnose?
Thanks,
Keith

Re: Constant Zone 8 and Fire Trouble and Restore Issue
It is what it says. You have a trouble on Zone 8 which is a Fire zone (most likely a smoke detector). These are generally 4-wire smokes so it's not a battery but it is possible it is a 2-wire with a battery. Because it restores so quickly I doubt it is a cable.
If you installed it yourself then you should be able to fix it. Otherwise you should hire a professional as this is a pretty important zone-type.

My guess would be you have a bad smoke detector. If you have another, I would just replace it.

Re: Constant Zone 8 and Fire Trouble and Restore Issue
might be the end of line resistor hooked up across the n/o terminals if its 4 wire
make sure its tight
same for zone 8: for you to get a trouble there must be eol there also
