Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things
I have emailed him.... waiting his response. My primary reason for getting this was to go behind my dog sitter who for some reason cannot arm my system back when he leaves. After I see how good it is, I may consider their monitoring services.

Up and running!!! My installer actually emailed the installer code along with the simple instructions to enable quick arming.
Set to go! Thanks for the help!

OK... like I mentioned I am the average homeowner Joe... although I have a fair concept of alarm programming (probably just enough to be dangerous).
Now when I did the above mentioned steps to turn on QUICK ARM without a code... all works well with mobile portal. However, my wireless key fob now WILL NOT chip the siren when arming although it chirps on DISARM.
Before, when I had quick arm OFF, the wireless key fob chirped upon ARM and DISARM.
Is this something I just need to live with? I would rather have the Envisalink mobile portal ARM away than my key fob chirping. It was just handy to confirm that the system is armed. Now, I press the button and wonder if it is armed or there is an open zone. I use the mobile portal to verify.
