Maybe, for the benefit of everone else, you could provide an example of something that you don't deem as "shit"? As far as I can see that app looks like every other security app I've ever seen.

Yes any of the apps from the big commercial alarm companies. Remember I am talking about look / feel / form. Not function.

Or how about some of the home automation systems like Revolv and others than give a nice friendly lock button / tap / slide to unlock with pin.

Most envisalink 3rd party apps are barebones, I really like what I see in Mobilinc for the ELK.

The point is just because everyone else's websites and apps look like the were designed with HTML 3 in the 1990s doesn't mean all have to. This is the difference between Apple and PCs, old thermostats and Nest.

here is a nicer example on windows phone http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store ... 28ffc8b1d0

now compare to the average 3rd party app using envisalink http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store ... e9013eaca6

My point is that *if* eyez-on invested in a super nice android, iPhone and WinPhone app a)they could charge for them and b)they would attract more customers.

I would argue if one thinks that the envisalink UI is 'perfect' and 'beautiful' that is a case of self delusion and very dangerous for a company that wants to be forward thinking. It is 'ok' and 'adequate' Oh except it still doesn't work on IE on Windows 8.1 (there are more 8.1 users on the planet than all the Mac users put together).

The best app I have seen is https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... roid&hl=lt this is the one that comes closest to being great, doesn't quite hit it out of the park.

Maybe I just have too high expectations / ambitions for this product?
