Delay in Alerts April 12 & Today, April 13 Sporadically

Post by maizerage »

Has anyone else been experiencing a delay in the alerts they receive for the zone followers.

I got an alert tonight at 8:05 PM for one that was from 6:29PM. In the text/email message it will say the appropriate time the action took place. There is just a substantial delay in me receiving the alerts.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

It is always a delay with your ISP's mail servers or for some reason your mail server is deffering your mail. Alert emails are sent within one second of the actual event.

If you email support with the event we can give you the actual log entry showing the email queue and the receive receipt. This can be useful when talking to your ISP's tech support about the issue.

If you tried between 10:00AM and 10:30AM EDT, we had to restart Alerts0 and Alerts3 to install some software. In each case the portal would show unavailable for a period of about 5 minutes.

This was unscheduled as they didn't think they needed to do a restart of the reporting engines.

This had nothing to do with alerts, they were unaffected.

On April 14th, starting at 1642 PDT, I had some events delayed 32 minutes and everything after that was delayed about 10 or 15 minutes. Today I'm getting events sent from noreply@eyezon.com rather than noreply@envisacorp.com. They come in within seconds.

I had the exact same delay on the same days. It cleared up for a while but tonight same thing. I set alarm about 30 minutes ago and still no text or email alerts.

It cannot be my mail server and it has to be eyezon email sending server delay because I have alerts sent to my yahoo ISP and my Verizon iPhone both alerts arrive simultaneously late. Sometimes hours after the event.

I submitted a ticket last Saturday, ticket # 14692 and I still have not received a reply from tech support in reply to that ticket.

I submitted another ticket tonight, ticket # 14724. It's been 30 minutes since closing event yet no text to my Verizon cell phone or my yahoo email again.
