The Envisalink's are compatible with ALL "power" series panels from DSC regardless of firmware version. These are sometimes called hybrid panels as they support both wireless and wired sensors.

The Envisalink is not compatible with the MAXSYS line of panels nor the low-end self-contained Alexor or Impassa systems.

No, this is an Impassa system. They are not expandable and are meant for the pro-market "lick and stick" installs. If you're buying this yourself then get good system like this from Home Security Store
