alarms/loss of ip not registering

Newbie here. Just installed a Vista 10 panel, and a EVL-3CG. I can successfully arm/disarm via pc or smartphone, can see zone status, and see which user codes have opened or closed the system. This all works great. However, if i trigger an alarm, or simulate loss of internet connection (unplug Ethernet), I receive no notification at all. Not listed in events, no email, or anything.

Any info on what I am missing/doing wrong would be great. These 2 items are really the most important to me.

How long did you let your siren run before disarming the panel? If the panel thinks its not a real alarm it won't transmit a signal. You need to arm it for a good 5 minutes and then let the siren run for at least 30 seconds.

Network supervision loss is reported only after 10 minutes in order to reduce false alarms.
