PC1550 / DSC1550

I have a DSC system PC1550 master panel in the master closet and a PC1555RKZ control panel next to the front door.

I'm looking to purchase an EnvisaLink 3 unit to do self monitoring but am confused a bit on if this will work for my system.

I'd like to know if the EnvisaLink 3 unit will work with my set up or if not, what system might I upgrade to in order to allow this self monitoring ability.

I'm not a security installer but do think I could swap main boards easily enough assuming they match to at least some degree.

doing more research and looking for confirmation that I have "classic" series and need a "power" series for the EnvisaLink to work correctly.

that being said, would something like this be easy enough to swap out the control and master panel using existing wiring and metal box for the master?

Yes it is. But make sure the seller guarantees that it is UNLOCKED and will give you the INSTALLER CODE. Otherwise its useless.

thanks for the quick reply - the installer code is provided with the unit so I assume I can unlock it if needed.
