Mobile link doesn't allow manual login.

The mobile link doesn't allow me to login with my correct credentials UNLESS I have a "Generate Mobile Portal Link" active. As soon as I deactivate this automated link with my password hash, the manual login via https://www.eyez-on.com/EZMOBILE/index.php fails stating "Invalid Credentials". It does this on my iPhone 5, IE, Firefox, Safari, etc... As soon as I recreate the link, then I can login manually again.

I do not want to use the automated link since it contains my password hash and allows direct access. I do not even want one active.

Am I missing something? Why can't I use the link https://www.eyez-on.com/EZMOBILE/index.php and manually login without having this autolink generated and active?
