new Router, EVL3 now off line

Post by Andy_B »

had everything working just fine with DSC PC5010 v2 panel, but then upgraded my router to Asus RT-AC68U. the EVL3 now doesn't show up in the device list on the router, set to DHCP and all the other devices on the network showed up.
powered everything down and back up again with no results, did a factory reset on the module (pins 2&5), powered everything (panel and router) off/on with same results. LED's all seem to be what they should be.
OPER LED slow flash
KEYB LED on steady
LINK LED on steady
ACT LED flashes
a bit lost now....

Most likely your Asus is firewalling the Envisalink. Log into the module's local webserver and go to the Network page. Have a look at this FAQ

ended up having to hook it all up to the old router, change the ip settings to the match the new router numbers, access the module and lock in the ip settings, hook it all back up to the new router, make the ip and mac address static. all works and can now see the module on the router device list. Don't know why this router didn't want to see this module...never had any other problems on the several modules I've installed.
