Logging into local device via url

When I log into my Envisalink 3 device by going to its local IP, I am asked for a user name and password in a pop up. I wanted to see if there is a way to send this url and password via the url instead.

Any pointers on how to do this?

It's basic http authentication so you can use http://user:your_password@192.168.x.y.

Notice that this is not SSL so don't expose the URL through your firewall. Only access it from your local (and encrypted!) network.
