EVL-3 keyb light now working.

Post by Marc »

Greetings all.
I just installed an EVL-3 into my Vista 20p system. Here are the light's statuses:
Link Light: Solid Green
Oper Light: Slow blinking red.
keyb: nothing. (When I reboot the system, it lights very briefly.)
Act light: nothing.
I've check the wiring. Recheck the wiring. Made sure the wires were bare on the connectors, etc.

So, my questions are:
1. Is there a way to reboot the EVL-3?
2. Is there any other ideas to get this device to work?

Thanks so much everybody.

Sounds like your module hasn't downloaded Honeywell firmware. Have you talked to tech support?

Thanks for the reply. No, I have not spoken with Honeywell. I believe my issue is before getting to that point.?.?.? It's a new 20p system.
There is a link on the eyezon.com web site about the steps to take to configure the card.
https://www.eyez-on.com/EZMAIN/evl3honeywell.php
I'm stuck on #4; that is, before even starting to program the 20p system.
It reads: 4. "After 10 minutes the "KEYB" LED should also be on solid. If it isn't please check your wiring." I have two alarm systems on my property, the 1st install went like a charm. I'm following the directions, etc. to no avail. The card doesn't show up with an ip address or anything. (I have an ip scanner.) I simply can't get to the card either.
Thanks again.

Sorry, I meant, did you talk to "us" at tech support. It sounds like your module hasn't downloaded Honeywell firmware and that is why the KEYB LED isn't on. If it hasn't downloaded the firmware then this points to a networking problem at the installation site.

Submit a support request and we can help you better than in a public forum.
