Hi everyone!
I just installed a new Envisalink on my Vista 20p system and I really like it, but it started giving me the error Error:*29 Programming on panel not completed properly.
Now, I've done the keypad address enable on my system, then set the EVL to the right address (21 for me) but it's still having the error pop up. Is there something else I should be looking at?
Thanks!
Blinky

Yep, you have to do all the programming as per the instructions. The most important being *29 programming in Part 2

Well I'll be darned if that didn't work. I had programmed *29 to 1 before, and I guess it didn't stick?GrandWizard wrote:Yep, you have to do all the programming as per the instructions. The most important being *29 programming in Part 2
Maybe it reset after a power loss we had this weekend? That's when the error showed up.
Anyway, like a dummy I figured it had to be the EVL instead of the idiot mashing the keypad. It's fixed now and all is well again

Thank you!
Re: New install, error *29
I am having the same issue with a Vista 15 P panel. It is a new install, and everything seems to be working fine, but I see the error message every time I log on to my account. I have *29 set to 0. The way I believe it should be.
Any ideas?

You need *29 set to 1 for the Envisalink to work as per the instructions.
Re: New install, error *29
My interpretation was that *29 should be set to 1 ONLY if I have a IP, LRR or GSM module. Which I don't!
So do you think I should set to 1 regardless, and keep the shadowing checkbox disabled?

The Envisalink is an IP module so you need to enable *29. Otherwise you won't receive any alerts.
Only enable shadowing if you have ANOTHER IP/GSM module, which it sounds like you don't.
