Installing Envisalink 3

Does the module have to be installed in the alarm cabinet or can it be installed right with the router that is some distance away and the small 4 wire run to the cabinet?

Either is fine. It just mimics a keypad so it could be anywhere provided you've got the 4 wires connected.

My Envisalink is mounted by my electrical box which is where my Internet cable enters the house. The security panel is on the other side of the house.

I just repurposed an existing telephone wire to connect the Keybus from the panel to the Envisalink.

Thanks for the reply. I have my account set up and now have the Evn 3 installed in my alarm box. Pretty easy to make a template to drill the holes all went well.
