So, I have finally purchased the EnvisaLink 3 for my Ademco 50P system. However, I can't seem to get the programing down. Have things changed, or is it not as supported as to have been thought.

Thanks for your assistance.

Would anyone mind putting a write-up together on what exactly was done to install this as well as what features are not functional on the Vista 50p?

Thanks

The Vista50P is not suppported or rather, the Vista50P does not support external communicators, like the Envisalink.

You can follow Part 1 and Part 2 Section 1 of the Honeywell programming guide but none of the other programming applies to the 50P.

All you will be able to do with the Envisalink is use it as a remote keypad. None of the alerting and reporting functions will work.

Hi, all, my boss' house has a vista50p that I personally upgraded from a 20p due to the additional motions and smoke detectors. He wants to add ability to control his system from outside the house. From what I'm reading, he'll only get arm/disarm/bypass. Central station notifies him anyway of intrusions, would the only benefit of upgrading the system to the vista 128 at this point be he would receive specific alarm zones on his iphone/ipad?
Thanks, Paul

Your boss won't be able to get Envisaerts. So no reporting of any event on the panel. If he just wants a remote keypad then it still will work with the Vista 50P.
