getting multiple texts

I set up an evl3 for a friend, on a dsc 1832. Set up test sms style alerts for his at&t iphone the problem we are having is that he is getting rolling number texts so he cant just delete all messages at once. So instead of getting "noreply message" he is getting a partial phone number with last numberof each text up by 1 digit. How can I fix this issue?
