EVL-3 with Vista 21iP and Tuxedo Touch WiFi fw 5.2. 2 1 . 0

Post by pverro »

Hello,
I'm glad to join your forum.
Since one year I have my security system, my keyboard has not work properly.
When the screen will go in stanby mode, the screen has no response, (it isblank) but it work because I heard the beep when I touch the screen.
Unplug the EVL-3 and it works fine.
Error in *29 appear, but it has no *29 in the Vista 21iP because the internal/external IP/GSM jumper on the Vista board has removed. Is it OK?
I have only one partition with one zone (for testing).
Any idea why it is not working?

You MUST enable *29 on the Vista21IP in order for the Envisalink to work. The Envisalink is an IP communicator so you need to make sure that *29 is enabled, otherwise you will not receive any alerts.

You MUST NOT enable "shadowing" if you do not have another communicator installed. Based on your settings, I see that you have shadowing enabled. Turn this OFF.

Thank you for your answer GrandWizard,
OK I am enable in *29, but I have an error on my panel.
Would you please explain to me 'shadowing' ?
It is not clear for me.
There is the print screen of my Tux.

You still have "Shadowing" enabled. You must disable this if you do not have ANOTHER IP communicator installed which it looks like you don't.

Shadowing is enabled/disabled on the local Envisalink page underneath the options for partition addresses.

Submit a tech support request. We can help you better there than in this public forum.

For others following this thread, the user has enabled "LRR Shadowing" on their local Envisalink page and needs to access that Envisalink directly, not through the Eyezon portal. This is all explained in the installation manual that came with the device.

LRR Shadowing should only be enabled if you already have ANOTHER LRR/IP/GSM device installed. This user seems to have clicked the option, not knowing what it did, and cannot get back to the page.
