Can the 2DS coexist in a DSC 1832 with any cellular modems? I am trying to find options for backup alarm transmission in the case the property's primary internet service (FIOS) is cut.

Are there other suggestions in the case where primary internet service cannot be guaranteed in an alarm situation?

You can buy a gsm communicator like DSC GS3125 and your 1832 panel programed as residential mode ([350] option 6 in the instalation progamming).
