Upgrade from EVL-3 to EVL-4?

I was looking at the product brief today and one of the new "features" was "128-bit encryption". Was this not present on the EVL-3? What is encrypted with 128-bit encryption, the module login/configuration page?

Any other benefits over the EVL-3 that are upgrade worthy?

Ditto Ian_81s question. Encryption sounds like a nice perk, but does Envisalink4 bring new features to the table that are not related to your Envisalert monitoring service?

As an Invaslink 3 owner, I'm am curious if the EVL4 will be considered a good upgrade and offer new commands not seen in the EVL3 TPI ?

128-bit encryption has existed at least as far back as the 2DS

The Envisalink 4 is just a replacement for the aging Envisalink 2/3 platform.

Here are the only reasons I can think of for upgrading

- You want to use DLS to program your DSC panel
- You want to use a wireless bridge and were having network problems previously
- You own a Vista 128 or 250 and you want to see all zones states for zones above 64
- You had problems with your gigabit router or switch
- You like having the latest and greatest hardware

While these additions are significant, most of the upgrades to the product do not affect DIY Eyezon customers. They are for the larger professional market.

Does anyone know if it will allow multiple connections from client devices? the EVL3 only allows one client to connect to it.

My EVL-3 just stopped working. I plan to buy the EVL-4 to relace it. It seems the programming for the Vista 20P is the same or I am wrong? I could not find any documentation either way. Does anyone know? I appreciate any input. Thanks
