Considering EVL-4 Purchase

Post by GMc »

While doing some searches for the product I came across the following review (see below). I'm a little confused because most of, if not all, what I've read says that there is no cost for any of the features unless you want it professionally monitored. I would appreciate it if someone could explain what the reviewer's comment's are referring to. Thanks in advance

Very limited local interface
Cost/Benefit is disproportional.
Advance Device configuration is limited. "You Need To Be Subscribed To EnvisAlerts Plus to use this feature" ($5/month).

This is a $20 board (comparable with Arduino). If we are charged 6 times its value, why charging extra for full access. Is not board features what the manufacturer limits, but access to simple alarm system configuration like changing pins (they call it plus features). This wasn't clarified on the website. The site indicates that you can have alarm monitoring for a monthly fee.

This sounds like a jealous competitor :-)

There are no monthly fees except for professional monitoring. Nada. Zero.

If you are a business owner or a rental landlord, there is an Envisalerts+ service that allows for configuring multple tenants and/or employees with different access levels. That is the $5 per month he is talking about. 99% of users don't need this service.

Thanks for the quick response.

Are there 2 different EVL-4 models? Some vendors advertise EVL-4 and some advertise EVL-4CG.

Thanks again

Just get the EVL4EZ or EVL4. Don't get the CG version as that is for Connect2Go which is meant for professional monitoring companies. We can register CG modules on Eyezon but it's a real pain in the butt.

Glad I asked..

So the one you, EYEZ-ON, sell on Amazon is the one I want?

We don't sell anything on Amazon. It is possible that one of our online distributors is selling them via Amazon but we have no control over that.

If in doubt, email sales@eyezon.com and ask if the seller is a registered distributor or not. In order to guarantee the warranty you need to buy either direct or from a distributor.
