What does Alarm Restorals do exactly? Not even my alarm installer knows what it does. Hes new to selling this product and his not sure what all the features do.
Thank you for the help and reply on the last post GrandWizard!!!
They are alerts you get once a trouble, alarm, or supervision event has been restored.
Some examples are;
if your network goes out for more than 10 minutes you will get a "Network Supervision Fault". When the communication is restored, you will get a "Network Supervision Restoral
If or when you get an alarm, you will get a "Alarm Restoral" once the alarm has been reset
Simply put, when something is restored you get a restoral message
As GMc says, "Restoral" is an engineering term meaning that an abnormal condition that was previously brought to your attention has now returned to normal.
An alarm restoral, by zone, would mean that the zone that caused an alarm has restored, or closed in the case of a door. You would get an alarm alert like "Front Door Alarm" if your system went into alarm due to the Front Door being opened (after entry delay obviously). When the door is closed you would receive an alert like "Front Door Alarm Restoral". This DOES NOT mean your partition returns to READY. The system will remain in ALARM until your bell-timeout (BTO) period expires.
