DSC panel errors after installing Envisalink

I have a DSC 1616 panel. It has a keypad attached to the cover of it and we also have a remote panel near the garage door. That panel is a PTK5507 touch screen.

The system reports "Gen Sys Trouble" and also "Comm Failure" even though the envisalink is connected and works fine.

On the other panel, *2 reports 1 and 4. When I press 1, which tells you what the cause of "1" actually is, it says "3".

As I type this, I:
Removed codes 5, 6 from 381 and
Removed codes 3, 5 from section 382

And for now there is no sys trouble but there remains a comm failure.

Any ideas?

Your panel is trying to call out to the central station and failing. This is an FTC (Failure to Communicate) error.

If you don't use a central station then you should remove the phone number from your panel.

Thanks, GrandWizard. Pretty certain I did that.
Section 301 had DCAAF coded and not a phone number
302 and 303 had DFFFF.

Just thinking 301 may have bene the culprit, I edited to DFFFF.

Still reports comm error.
