Android apps

Post by Genner »

Hello everyone,

Which android app do you download to monitor and control the EVL 4 via cellphone?
Are there specific EVL 4 apps either Honeywell or DSC panels?
I've seem one called DSC home but none for Honeywell.

Thanks,
Genner

Why don't you just use the Eyezon app? I find it better than anything else.

I thought Eyezon didn't have an app? Do you mean the web link?

Check out the intro here: http://www.eyezon.com/?page_id=469 There is mention of using the web link as a icon like other apps for iPhone, maybe Android supports the same thing? That's not specifically described in the tutorial though.

There are apps for Envisalink but I don't believe they are from Eyezon. I have not tried any of them because it appears the web link does everything the apps can do.

The first two are mine - the first is intended to allow a phone/tablet work as an extra DSC panel, local only. Some folks try to use it remotely - not a good idea - as the GrandWizard says eyezon is much better.

The second app is for people who want to run a hub/server on site to self monitor/manage or extend into the rest of their home automation system.
