ENvisalink 3 and TL250 on same panel

Post by jac1987 »

PC1832 currently with envisalink3, everything working as it should, will adding a tl250 to the panel cause an issue with the envisalink and or additional programming needs to be done?

Adding a tl250 to connect to your central station via Internet will likely add additional monthly cost to your central station monitoring service. If it does its probobly similar to the cost to add cellular.

It may be best to add a cellular or dual path cellular/internet communicator instead. That way you have an additional path to communicate to the CS if internet goes down.

Adding a TL2603GR to your pc1832 gives you the option to combine reporting paths of phone line, cellular and Internet. That's good redundancy.

I did some thing similar with my Honeywell system. I have my Envisalink that is very reliable to remotely control the system and send text alerts. For central station reporting I have a dual path communicator (IPDATATEL CBAT) that reports to the CS via IP Internet and cellular, and the system also can be connected via phone line.
