I have connected an EVL 4 to a DSC P1864 panel.
Since the install I have gotten multiple false alarms, always on zone 29 which is assigned to a PIR, and intermittently around 0425 in the morning, this is bizarre!
I have subsequently checked panel wiring and replaced the PIR, problem continues???
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Can Envisaliknk EVL 4 cause false alarms?

If you haven't tried already, I would put a resister on that zone (29) or move the PIR to another zone to see if the problem stops or moves with the zone change.

Thanks GMc,
I replaced zone 29 PIR. Model no LC-100-PI, problem persists, wiring and resistor good.
The problem zone has been 29. I have now transposed zone 28 with 29 on the expander board for further troubleshooting.

Kurt

How have you set the pulse count jumper on your PIR? Is it set in position 1?
How about your pet immunity jumper setting?
Any pets in the house? How about other objects in that area?

Hi Cobra,
PIR set up set follows:
Pulse count set to 3, provides maximum protection against false alarms.
Pet immunity set to max, 25kg. No pets in residence.
Sense adjustment reduced to approximately 60%
PIR faces a wall/ door, no possible interference anywhere.
Possibly RF interference from the EVL 4??, have moved it away by 25cm.
Thanks
K

How could the Enivsalink interfere with a PIR? The Envisalink 4 is CE certfied which is the highest level of EM compliance in the world.
I would look at your zone expander first and the location of the PIR.
