DSC PC1832 V4.7

Does anyone know of a vendor that sells v4.7 of the DSC PC1832 control board? It is my understanding that that is the version I need for full wireless CO detector support. All the usual vendors seem to only carry 4.6.

I think Version 4.7 was only released in South Africa. My understanding is that the release was cancelled in Europe and the Americas. I don't know the reason.

Maybe another forum member can add more.

Thanks - the 4.6 also supports CO detectors so I will consider that, but was hoping to get the latest version. I will also have to consider what my eventual migration path is from the 18xx platform.

There are lots of different smokes and CO's on the market. Anyone of them will work fine with even the oldest DSC panels. I have "first alert" smokes and COs in my home and they work fine with my 1832.

I have all the smokes on one zone and the two COs in a separate zone.

Thank you. v4.5 is the earliest version for which I can find documentation (in the associated DSC PDF manual) of wireless CO detector support. (I see I neglected to use the word "wireless" in my second post above, apologies, I am only asking about wireless CO support) I have an earlier version of the 1832 panel and the manual for that version does not mention any support for wireless (or wired) CO detectors, or any zone code for them. There is also a requirement for a certain version of the RFK keypad and a specific model WS4913 of wireless CO detector. I think I will just sit tight for now.

Ahhh, wireless. Sure, I don't know about that. For hard-wired you have lots of options.

Maybe that explains my wireless CO behavior here. I have one in a DSC system, and it is connected wireless, however it does not seem to test in the system. Not the best setup. It tests fine locally, but there is no way to send a test alarm from the detector (not even documented in the CO docs.)
