Re-Configure

Post by DeanRobinson »

If I purchase a EnvisaLink4 and configure it for a DSC panel "hook it up for a few months" then take it out of the DSC panel and default the Envisalink4 to factory settings, can I then put it in a Honeywell panel and reconfigure it to work with the Honeywell panel?

Thanks!

Yes, the Envisalink will just download whatever firmware is required for your panel.

OK Great! I was hoping you would say that, I have installed quite a few of these boards in Vista panels, But never in a DSC, If I understand this correctly there is no programming need on the DSC's
The DSC panel is about 15 years old is the board compatible with a system that old?

Thanks!

You will find the installation much easier with DSC systems. The Envisalink works with all vintages of POWER series panels going back to the PC5010, about 20 years ago.

I checked the panel today, It's a Power 832 / PC5010 I assume that the envisalink should work just fine, I also assume I don't have to get into the panel and make any changes at all to make it work?

Thanks for the replies GrandWizzard!

GrandWizard I assume to default it so I can install it on a Honeywell Vista system I just jump the 2 gold pads with the power on then reboot and then configure it as a Honeywell?

I got it up and running on the DSC system last night so all is working well on the DSC system.

Thanks!
