Evisalink 3 DSC stuck on old IP
My EV3 is showing off line and when I get device info, it shows the wrong internal IP.. Is there a way to update this? Network is fine, shows in my router log correctly except the last 3 is 118 and old was 128

If you look here: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopi ... d12372b8a7, you will see that I have had similar issues with the EVL not releasing/renewing.
There is a comment from somebody presumably related to the company that suggests this should not be happening (it should spend no more than 15-18 mins in the state of non-connection to the servers), but this has not been my personal experience (and there are a few other reports similar).
To solve it quickly, the only thing I could do was a cold reboot of the panel. For me it would spontaneously get a new IP after some period of time, ranging from a few hours to almost a week.
The only way I have found to avoid it is to put the router on a UPS so that the EVL keeps its IP.
