Hi,
I understand the EnvisaLink module does not send SMTP traffic, but rather that these alerts are sent by Eyezon(?) servers.
Is it possible to get a list of all the hostnames Eyezon uses for these servers? I'm trying to add an EnvisaLink to my automated SMTP receiving service, but to accept the messages my server needs to recognise where the mails originate from (anti-spam measure). If the sending address is not recognised, my server will not accept the message. To get this right, I therefore need to know all alternative SMTP hostnames that might send an alert out.
Thanks

Re: Alert sending SMTP severs
I don't know the answer to your question but it sounds like your anti-SPAM software doesn't use SPF. If it did then it wouldn't matter what the server IPs were as the SPF entry would tell you if that server was authorized to send mail or not.
Look into it.

Re: Alert sending SMTP severs
Thanks GW, unfortunately this is the way my SMTP receiving server works and I cannot change it. Incoming SMTP messages need to come from a server/IP location that's on our whitelist otherwise the message won't be accepted.
So far i'm aware of alerts0.envisacor.com. Hopefully, it's just a matter of going from alerts0 to alerts7 (or whatever the number of servers are), but if possible I'd very much like confirmation.
If you can't answer, could you point me to where I could get an answer? Someone must know.
Many thanks,
Gareth
