EnvisaLink 4 new install problem Error: Keypad Timeout...

Error: Keypad Timeout. Most likely the yellow wire is not connected.

Is the error I am getting. I am also getting a bf alert on my keypad.

Here is my setup:

Vista 15P panel
Originally monitored via POTS with Cincinnati Bell
Monitoring changed to VOIP via netalarm some years ago

I feel like I have followed the instructions very closely and have heard all the right confirmation noises. I have also made sure that the yellow wire is indeed connected properly. (All lights on the envisalink are solid other than flashing data light)

Everything reads Ready - Trouble

EDIT: I've now got an FC error on the keypad too, so it appears that the panel is trying to dial out still. Is this possibly where the problem is coming from?

I am getting the same error, with the EVL 4 connected to an Ademco Vista 128BP. I too am sure that the yellow wire is connected properly, and have all 5 LEDs illuminated.

It would be great if the company or one of the forum gurus could comment on this. I will also open a support ticket.

Just to close the loop here, my problem was that the green wire was shorted. Test all your connections again, and maybe even swap wires just so you know nothing is broken.
