Need Help: Can't Connect to 2DS Locally
I've just installed the 2DS in a 1832 panel. The lights on the 2DS all look good. The DHCP clients list has the Envisilink listed, with an IP address of 192.168.1.100. When I put in Envisilink or 192.168.1.100 in the address bar of my IE8 browser, I get nothing. Where am I going wrong?

Yes, I did. I've given the specs of my system. It's not an Apple. I looked at the clients list in the DHCP server of my router and found Envisilink associated with that IP address that doesn't work. As I said, all the leds are right. I'll send an email.

Ok, does everything look OK in your Eyez-On portal account? Can you see your information updating? Can you arm/disarm your system?
When you put the IP into your browser (http://xxx.yyy.zzz.zzz) what happens? Do you get a password prompt our does your browser just spin?
There are no known browser issues with the '2DS when using the actual IP address.

Re: Need Help: Can't Connect to 2DS Locally
I didn't think of creating an account before I could log to the device locally, but if you want me to I'll try.
I get:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
Hitting the "diagnose" link I get:
The remote device or resource won't accept the connection.
and...
The device or resource (192.168.1.100) is not set up to accept connection on port "The World Wide Web Service (HTTP)".

Re: Need Help: Can't Connect to 2DS Locally
I created an account and activated my device.
I don't see any place to arm or disarm.
There's a zone chart, but the info doesn't appear correct, like the zones were closed 0 seconds ago.
oops. I put in the wrong mac address. retrying...
Seems to be doing something.
Was able to arm in stay mode! Cool.

Well, I restarted the computer and now I can logon locally.
Go figure!
