I have the 6160 keypad and my zones are named in alpha, so when a zone is triggered the text I get is what shows on my keypad, example: back door, kitchen window, ect. and followed by the word "alarm" thanks for your time.

The EVL-3 just reports zone number to the text server no matter how you programmed the alpha keypad.

You must manually enter "zone lables" on your envisalink account page. That is what is sent as text, not what your alpha keypad displays.

When you bring up your account click on house, click on manage device the click on zone lables. Then enter zone number and lable each zone how you want the text to describe it.

Just got my EVL-3 last week, played a little bit with it, and have few questions,
1. when alarm occurs will EVL-3 send out message immediately?
2. when EVL-3 connected to the cloud (eyezon server), how often the server query for status? or they are updated by EVL-3?
3. can EVL-3 be programed to send/talk servers in addition eyezon's server
4. with TPI, will EVL-3 push alarm through TPI?
Thanks,

I receive the text within seconds if alarm is triggered, also when I arm and disarm the system.

Better than 99% of the time texts are received less than 15 seconds after event. I exit my home to garage door and before I start the car the text is received.

Occasionally Eyezon text server has delayed sending texts for up to 1 hour or more but that is very rare. When I don't get the text letting me know that the alarm has been set, before pulling out if the garage, I check the alarm status on the eyezon portal and it shows set correctly, so it's a text or email server delay issue. The very rare times when texts are delayed so are my email alerts from eyezon. That points to eyezon email server causing the delay.

Not sure if server queries or not but if network connection is lost for over 5 minutes I get a network supervision text. Once network is restored I get an immediate network restoration text.

I'm in process of installing a power line monitor for a garage refrigerator outlet. This should give me an immediate text if home power is lost.

My cable modem and router are on a UPS.
