The Netgear LG6100D LTE Gateway has an ethernet WAN port. As long as the WAN port detects incoming internet connection from the cable internet gateway, the LTE connection is dormant. If the 6100D WAN detects loss of internet, it fails over and activates the LTE WAN. When the cable internet is restored it falls back to that and the LTE connection goes dormant again.
