Make sure you're on a LAN and using a PRIVATE IP range. They are:
192.168.X.X
10.X.X.X
172.X.X.X

We had one customer call into tier 2 support and had made his network 200.200.X.X which is owned by a Brazilian Telco. This made all the computers in that range inaccessible, and at worst, the router may route LAN information directly to another computer on the Internet!

Solved this one, thanks for your help. Ended up resetting the board with the RST-short technique. I was able to log in locally with IP and perform necessary maintenance.

ptr454- I'm having the same problem not able to access the EV4 locally. What is resetting the board with the RST-short technique?
