It is important to know this internet dependency/limitation, as no company ever expects to go under. Or it could be taken over by private equity that forces monthly charges to access the cloud service.

It sounds like a DSC panel with that Envisalink addon board would continue to work and be programmable in the case of the cloud service ceasing to work, since the internet feature is optional, but it would also continue to function on a local network with Home Assistant. Thanks for the info.
